NzaYahweh Xmas concert thrills Lilongwe
Christmas Day was merry for music lovers who gathered at Bingu International Convention Centre in Lilongwe where artists grouped together to celebrate the day.
Dubbed NzaYahweh, the concert was organised by The Great Angels Choir for families to enjoy the day.

Far from being a typical gospel show, the event featured a mixed lineup of artists who brought flair and variety to the stage.
By 11am, people had already started gathering at the venue. Their eagerness to enjoy their favourite artists was undeniable.
The auditorium was filled to capacity, with patrons cheering, dancing and applauding as artists exchanged sets stage.
It was a one-of-a-kind experience as gospel music blended with secular performances, allowing fans to enjoy Christmas Day in a special and unique way.
Every performer gave their best during their set, with many patrons requesting extended time for some of the artists.
Among them were Black Missionaries Band, Billy Kaunda, Skeffa Chimoto, Kell Kay, Shammah Vocals, Kamuzu Barracks Gospel Singers, Miracle Chinga, Ennoh and Limbani Simenti.
There were also surprise performances by Peter Uyu Mlangeni and Eli Njuchi who spiced up the event with brief, but lively sets. The Great Angels Choir also delivered a lively performances.
Its musical director, Ephraim Zonda, expressed gratitude to fans for making the event a success.
“We are grateful that people filled this space to celebrate Christmas with their favourite artists. Christmas is for everyone and we wanted to give them a good show,” he said.
Zonda also thanked the sponsors and announced plans to hold a similar event next year.
One of the attendees, Lydia Mbeza, said the concert added flavour to her family’s Christmas celebrations.
“It was a wonderful concert. My family and I enjoyed this year’s Christmas and we hope to come back next year,” she said.
The concert concluded with a performance by the Black Missionaries, leaving fans in high spirits as they celebrated the joyous day.
